Causality of Me
times passed and nothings changed
she still the same girl I once knew
except she’s just, another casualty of you
but I watch her toes in sand and her heart in her hand still open to give it away
I stand corrected that same girl u see did go forth and she changed
she could love more, do more, see more, and be more
authentic I think
free of judgment, mindfully peaked- an unconditional sort of peace
She walks with pride and a certain sexy in her stride
and without regret she plucks the only flower on the beach
for she knows the audacious hope of all rooted things
and that is the life she lives and that is the life she breaths
maybe she’s actually just a casualty of me.
